gallant knights

"There is a legend that fallen
knights return as great horses

He has seen what awaits you,
and he will protect you."

The ground shakes and thunder roars.
It's not an earthquake; there is no storm.

A herd of hooves pound the earth creating
clouds of reddish brown dust that rises like fog.

Sinews and tissues tense, molding brute force that
arcs the beasts' necks and moves their limbs gallantly.

Nostrils flare, tails flicker, and manes dance like flame
Their war cry pierces the blue expanse, and reverberates.

Wind howls in between their ears, like mountain peaks,
whispering secrets carried on the waft, secrets of being free.

Charging troop of naked warriors with brave hearts beating true
Armor muscles ripple as they march, fearless in their pursuit.
